Simulation-Based Inference Applets
User Instructions to Copy and Paste Data
Select All and Copy: Open up the desired
data set and
hold finger down on top row of data set until a magnifying circle
shows. Lift finger off screen and a blue box should highlight
top row. Slide box down and four dots should now appear on
side of the box. Slide rightmost dot farther out to the right
the entire window should be in the blue box with a copy icon on
top. Touch the copy icon to copy all the data.
Paste: Open the desired applet and tap the “Clear”
clear any data out of the sample data window. Tap inside the sample
data window twice slowly and a paste icon should appear. Tap
to paste the data.

Rossman/Chance Applet Collection: Selecting Histogram Bin-Width

This applet demonstrates the impact of data bin width on the display of information in histograms. The user is able to control the bin width and the axes of the histogram with the resultant changes shown immediately. There are two data sets available for use, and the user can edit the data or create new data sets.
This is part of a larger collection of applets on statistics from the California Poly San Luis Obispo.
