Can a male cadet wear an earring in uniform?
Small spherical earrings not to exceed one-fourth inch in diameter. White, gold, or silver.
What size earring can female cadets wear?
Center the nameplate on the right pocket between the top of pocket and the top of the button for males. (Females: 1 to 2 inches above the top button centered horizontally on the right side of the coat. In a comparable position on the shirt.)
How is the nameplate worn on your uniform?
AR 670-1 and CCR 145-2
What regulation covers the wear of the uniform?
Cadet officers place the pointed end toward the collar and the flat end toward the edge of the shoulder; for enlisted cadets, place the side with the pointed chevron toward the collar.
How are the shoulder ranks worn?

Male Uniform

  1. Clean hair cut, can not touch the ears or collar, and must be tapered .
  2. Face must be clean-shaven during JROTC class in or out of uniform.
  3. Mustaches are allowed, but should not extend past the corner of the mouth. Also the mustache should not cover the upper lip line.
  4. Side burns will not be lower then the bottom opening of the ear.
  5. Only black dress socks will be worn with the dress uniform.
  6. Cadet can wear two rings of good taste, one on each hand.
  7. Cadets can wear a watch.
  8. An ID bracelet can be worn, if it identifies you.
  9. You may only wear your name tag with the uniform.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR NOT WEARING THE UNIFORM!

Placement of Male Uniform: Class A

  1. RANK
    Worn on shoulder tabs (PVT E-2 and higher)
  2. TORCHES (and ROTC’s for Officers)
    Enlisted: Placed 1 inch above the notch of the collar with the torch bisecting the notch.
    Officer: Placed 5/8 of an inch below the notch. ROTC’s placed 1 inch above the notch and bisecting the notch.
  3. STAR
    Placed 1/4 of an inch above the top of the right pocket with star pointing up. Centered from left to right.
  4. ACADEMIC WREATH
    Placed 1/4 of an inch above the top of the pocket. Centered from left to right. When worn with the star the star is placed in the center.
  5. NAME TAG
    Placed on the right pocket flap centered between the top of the pocket and the top of the button, from left to right.
  6. UNIT CREST
    Placed 1/4 of an inch above the star on the right side.
  7. RIBBONS
    Placed 1/8 of an inch above the left pocket centered from left to right. Not more then three ribbons in a row.
  8. TEAM PINS
    Placed between the bottom of the pocket flap and the bottom of the pocket on the right side. Centered from top to bottom, left to right. If you have more then one arch the space between them is 1/8th of an inch.
  9. MEDALS
    Centered on the left breast pocket flap. (Not more then four to a row.)

Male Class B’s

Rank, Unit Crest, star, and Name Tag are Mandatory! But you can wear all awards if you chose to.

  1. BOARD RANK
    Worn on shoulder tabs (PVT E-2 and higher)
  2. UNIT CREST
    Placed 1/4 of an inch above the star on the right side.
  3. NAME TAG
    Placed on the right pocket flap centered between the top of the pocket and the top of the button, from left to right.
  4. RIBBONS
    Placed 1/8 of an inch above the left pocket centered from left to right. Not more then three ribbons in a row.
  5. STAR
    Placed 1/4 of an inch above the top of the right pocket with star pointing up. Centered from left to right.
