Specific Purpose: To inform my audience on 3D printing, and how they could potentially affect
us.
Thesis statement: Engineers are making the world a more sophisticated place with the help of a
3D printer.
I.
Introduction
A.
Attention Getter: Let’s say that you are putting pictures on your wall and you
run out of tacks. What do you do? You can go to the store and get some more

out there that can make this happen, and is becoming more available for
consumers like us. That technology is 3D printing.
B.
Credibility Statement: I’m studying to become a Mechanical Engineer, so I
have the mindset to make things more efficient for people.
C.
State Importance: 3D printing has been around for some time, but it is now
becoming more available for us.
D.
Preview Main Points: Today I’ll be giving you information about 3D printing.
I’ll let you know how it got started, how does it work, and what are the pros
and cons about the printer.
E.
(Transition): So who invented the 3D printer?
II. Body
A.
According to the article “3D printing – What you need to know” The inventor

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.
